Byotrol Clearway Algae Control - CONCENTRAT is non hazardous, which will effectively inhibit future growth of green algae, organic growth and micro-organisms on a multitude of surfaces. Its unique ability to prevent re-growth can last 18 months to 2 years Use Algae control on masonry, wood brick, concrete, metal, plastic, all types of cladding materials in reality any surface where organic growth occurs, great on paths, patios, drives, tarmac driveways, jetties, dock yards, slipways, pontoons, buildings & walls etc.
It can also be used in coastal areas, beside lakes & rivers, marine slipways & pontoons etc.
Byotrol is DEFRA approved.
How to Use
• Dilute 1:9 (1 part concentrate to 9 parts water)
Coverage - After dilution approx
• 10m2 / lt on horizontal surfaces
• 8m2 / lt on vertical surfaces
• Tarmac surface apply at the rate of 5m2 / lt
Apply product by means of –
• Low pressure spray
• Brush
Avoid application in –
• Very windy conditions
• Wet weather
• Below 50c
• Above 300c
• Heavily affected areas may require pre-cleaning by either brushing away thick moss & algae or pressure washing heavy contaminated areas. Byotrol is an Inhibitor to stop growth and will prove effective over long periods it will also remove unwanted algae but thick deposits do need to be removed first.
Application –
• Remove existing algae, debris & silt deposits.
• Spray or brush on product (spraying is often better) – paying particular attention to broken surfaces.
• Can be sprayed on damp surfaces.
• Best results use on dry, calm day.
Subsequent Application –
• Subsequent application should be made when surfaces are slightly green.
• Time between applications will vary and are determined by local conditions.
• One could expect 18 months -3 years before re-treatment is expected on general paths, driveways, buildings, statues, wooden fences & sheds etc
• On Tarmac re-treatment would be expected every 6 months or so.
• In a marina environment about one year between applications. In a tidal environment depending on conditions this could be a few weeks to a few months.
