Guide to "HOTBOXES" A Hot Box is used to heat water after going through a pressure washer before being discharged from the gun and lance. They are not boilers but Heat Exchange Units - heating the water as its flows through the unit. The faster the water goes through the less the rise in temperature. Likewise the colder the water enters, the lower it will be when it comes out. What temperature do you need ? Most of the time water of 95<98c is the max you would require as over this temperature all you have is steam and steam vapor does not have much impact, but when the water is under say about 95 the water still has a great impact to clean. Use the heat to help clean and use the water pressure to "push" the muck away. Sometimes more than one Hotbox is needed, this is for high flow pumps and/or high temps. - Call and ask Malcolm, this can be done by spliting the water, sending it it two or more hotboxes and then re-joining it up. All these HOTBOXES need 230 volts to fire the unit up, drive the boiler fan, this is only about 300-400 watts and would run off of a 1 KVA Generator OK. The fuel that the units burn is Diesel. If you add the HB74 to say a small single phase electric powered pressure washer you would then have a "HOT WATER" Cleaner - a great way of de-greasing engins etc. Hot water nearly always is a faster way of cleaning most things. On stone, many times with hot water you will find you need less pressure and sometimes its the pressure that does the damage ! CLICK ON PART NUMBER TO SEE MORE INFO AND PRICE OF PRODUCT.
